What are SIP's?
Structural Insulated Panels, or SIPs, are part of a building system used in the construction of houses and small commercial buildings. Roofs and walls can be built with SIPs. SIPs are comprised of an insulated foam core between two structural facings (typically boards). These panels protect the building from outside temperature and weather, keep most allergens out of the building, and using them helps the overall construction of a building be more efficient and cost-effective. In addition, SIPs have the flexibility to conform to the needs of the builders. Using SIPs greatly improves the strength, energy-efficiency, and cost of the building.
